Iris ventricosa #2 of 8

Credits: Iris ventricosa, Ken Walker; 2006 September 16; Concord, CA USA (Ken Walker, 30-SEP-06)

Comments: This plant was grown from seeds obtained through the January 2003 SIGNA seed auction, collected Novozuruhaitui Transbaikal Region (Chita Region) Aug., 2002. As of the time this picture was taken the plant had not flowered. Note that the rhizomes have descended 6 inches (15 cm) since the seedling was originally planted. The mass of roots at the end occurred because they had reached the bottom of the pot. The ruler is 24 inches (61 cm). (Ken Walker, 30-SEP-06)
